On July 14th, FlexSol Solutions was invited to the Aruba House (Arubahuis) in The Hague, The Netherlands, to sign a memorandum of understanding with research organisation TNO, in the presence of the plenipotentiary Minister of Aruba Juan David Yrausquin. In the memorandum, FlexSol Solutions and TNO declare that they will collaborate in realising a revolutionary showcase of sustainable technology on the island of Aruba.

The Soluxio solar street light developed by FlexSol Solutions will light the streets of the Smart Community Aruba, an experimental residential area where the latest sustainable innovations are demonstrated. The community is realised by a consortium consisting of the government of Aruba and various innovative companies, among which FlexSol Solutions.

Self-sustaining Aruba

The island of Aruba has the ambition to be entirely self-sustaining by 2020, an ambitious goal that FlexSol Solutions would like to help achieve. With Aruba serving as a hub between Europe, the United States and Latin America, this project paves the way for widespread application of solar street lighting on the Western hemisphere.
